Hello All,
Could anyone me solve this problem?

I got this error: 20028 The Distributor has not been installed correctly. Could not enable database for publishing. The replication option 'publish' of database 'test' has been set to false.

Thanks,
Tuoc

Hi Tuoc,

Run sp_helpserver on the publisher. Verify that the ID for the local
server is 0. Verify that the name of the server is correct. If either of
this is wrong, run these commands to correct the problem:
sp_dropserver "servername", droplogins
go
sp_addserver 'servername', local
go

Then you should be able to enable the server as a publisher.

Hello Shirley,

If I run the store procedures sp_dropserver and sp_addserver, will it affect current users in anyway? Should I do this after hour? I ran the sp_helpserver on the publisher and its name was corrected but the ID was set at 1 instead of 0.
Thank You for your help.

Tuoc

Hi Tuoc,

The stored procedures sp_dropserver and sp_addserver will not affect
clients when you run them. But they will not take effect until SQL Server
is restarted, so you will have a very brief outage while restarting the SQL
Server service.
